From Chair Joe Smallhoover & Connie Borde

United – and stronger – we stand

The Democratic Party recently completed one of the most exciting primaries in its party history. Our candidates represented the best our country has to offer. Once again the Democratic Party reached beyond political limits, breaking the model of politics as we have know it until now with a woman and an African-American in the final runoff.

We can be proud of our presumptive nominee, Barack Obama, in his historic claim to victory. We can now turn ahead to one of the most exciting and challenging campaigns we have ever known. And we can applaud Hillary Clinton for her equally historic run for the Democratic Party nomination.

We will all stand together and work to take back the White House and increase our Senate and House majorities. What could be more hopeful than this prospect for Democrats!

We, of course, now need your help and enthusiasm and dedication to help us win this election. Most important, Democrats Abroad wants to have its impact on these elections. And we now have the possibility to do so.

More Democrats registered for the Global Primary than ever before. But we are still far from the potential we have to get out the vote. We would like you all to participate in a GOTV movement with us: wherever you can, advertise our easy-to-use registration and ballot request website: www.VoteFromAbroad.org

Democrats Abroad France will be organizing a major campaign to GOTV. Help us if you can. We can provide you with posters if you want to put them up where Americans congregate. We will take out ads in the local press encouraging people to vote, but you too can post information in your clubs, groups or schools. VoteFromAbroad.org is a public service provided by Democrats Abroad for the use of all voters, regardless of party affiliation.

Contributions are also welcome at https://secure.democratsabroad.org/contribute/.

Let’s all get behind this effort, and bring our country home again.
